ADMIN GREETING
Welcome back to school! Each year we're excited to see new and returning students eager for the year ahead. This year’s school theme “I WILL” will challenge staff and students to be active in their faith. Based on James 2:18 which states, “Show me your faith without deeds and I WLL show you my faith by what I do”, students are already setting goals and making commitments to achieve even more this school year! We're excited about the year ahead! If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

I WILL Live on Purpose
SCA students have taken up the challenge to participate in the 40 Days of Purpose campaign using the book, “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. In conjunction with Springs Church, students have committed to read the Bible, pray and attend Church regularly which will grow their Christian walk. I WILL Pray
See You at the Pole was a huge success this year. Student Council members ran the entire event from arranging and playing Praise and Worship music and creating grade-appropriate prayer lists to shepherding small prayer groups from the grade seven and eight classrooms and conducting the entire event. There was a quiet respectful atmosphere as heads were bowed and voices were lifted towards heaven under a cloudy sky and a light mist. Spirits were refreshed and uplifted as God was glorified.
Terry Fox Run - I WILL Give
SCA students gave of their time and money, taking up the challenge to run the Terry Fox Run and raise money for cancer research. The high school students ran on a designated path and the elementary students hit the sidewalks in the Windsor Park area. The students raised approximately $4,500.

Camp Cedarwood - WE WILL grow in God's Word
This year, we as grade 12's were blessed with the opportunity to attend a spiritual growth retreat at Camp Cedarwood. It was a great time to develop relationships, leadership skills, and a stronger passion for God. One of the highlights that we enjoyed most was the inspirational chapels that consisted of awesome student-led praise and worship and powerful messages by Phil Dupuis. Not only did we have the chance to grow spiritually but also had a blast with the recreational activities, as well as enjoying the delicious food provided. It is a memory we will never forget.
Grandparents Day at Elementary Campus
SCA Elementary School welcomed 300 grandparents and guests to celebrate Grandparents Day. The guests enjoyed performances by the students and spent some time praying for our school, our city, our country and the world. After the program grandparents visited the classrooms where the grandchildren had the opportunity to show them some of their school work. The afternoon was concluded with a family BBQ.
